If you bring it in tell them that didn't work (I just lied and told them I tried), they will replace the seat belt. At least they did for me.Miner wrote:That's one I forgot! Constantly reaching over and helping that belt to fully rewind. Nissan says to clean the upper 'loop', which doesn't do squat to fix the problem.Geoffrey wrote:Great thread. My wife points out that the passenger seat belt winds slowly so when you close the door the buckle jams. Which really pisses me off too.

Also squeaky seats! Multiple service letters to fix all because they can't properly bolt the seat frame to the seat back! The seat material also stains very easily, in addition to being to thin as mentioned earlier.
I drove a 2005 chevy silverado on the weekend. Trust me, you would probably have a much larger list with that truck!

Anyone else have to slam their door? I always have to close the door twice if it is the last door closed. It's like the truck is too airtight.

The ABS system sucks. I've never liked ABS, but I hear the newer systems are far better than what we have on the 1st Gen. It's awful.

Re: What ANNOYS you about your Nissan?
Any ABS system that won't stop on snow. The ones that refuse to lock the wheels up when you're going under 1 kph so it's impossible to stop on any snow covered covered road on any sort of downhill grade. These systems are frankly unsafe and should have been recalled.

Now that's one complaint I do not have. Nissans have a history of great heating, and my X is no different.

Ecosta, maybe you should look at changing your thermostat? There are two different one's available. A 170F and a 180F. Make sure you get the 180F.

Re: What ANNOYS you about your Nissan?
Wanted to mention the horrible manifolds again, and in general the number of emissions system failures that make otherwise 'good' used Nissan's not worth buying as used vehicles. Not buying a used Xterra because of all the ways it likes to fail an etest, or not buying a 5.6 Nissan because the manifolds will fail makes even Nissan faithful shop other brands.

Re: What ANNOYS you about your Nissan?
^ me. Loved our pathfinder but the cat issue stopped me in my tracks from buying the one I want ('08 LE w/5.6). Now I'm probably buying an Envoy that'll be otherwise less reliable. :/ at least the fuel economy will be hopefully better with the 5.3LMiner wrote:Wanted to mention the horrible manifolds again, and in general the number of emissions system failures that make otherwise 'good' used Nissan's not worth buying as used vehicles. Also annoys me that a lift kit for my 2003 is 1000$ and for a 2Gen is only 200 ....

Re: What ANNOYS you about your Nissan?
Having gone down that road myself I've learned that you don't need to spend that much on a lift. There are much less expensive ways to do it.ECosta wrote:Also annoys me that a lift kit for my 2003 is 1000$ and for a 2Gen is only 200 ....
