4+ years. Should still have some warranty on it. You'll have to pay some pro-ration, but will be cheaper than paying for new.

Yeah, you don't get that much back in return on them.

Mine appears to be dead as well Scott. Charged it a couple of weeks ago, and within a day it didn't have enough left in it to turn the truck over, let alone unlock the truck. And all it did was sit overnight.

If you want to figure it out, calculate the number of months rounded up that you have owned it.
In scotto's case
= 52 months.
Take price of battery. Eg: $139.95
Take length of warranty. Eg 84 months
$139.95 / 84 = $1.67 / month
52 months x $1.67 = $86.84
About a $53 discount.

You'd have to adjust above numbers based on the accurate price and warranty length.

53 dollars is still better than paying full price!

Plus you get a brand new warranty that starts the day you pay a single penny for the replacement battery. So another 84 months.

Canadian tire has one of the best battery warranties out there.

You sure the 48 months isn't the free replacement period?

I'm stretching trying to remember from my days working at canadian tire. The eliminator was one of the top of the line batteries. I would think it at least had a 60 month total warranty or more.

I had to replace my eliminator a few moths back as it sucome to its use. I coulda swore the guy at can.tire said there getting rid of the "pro active" warren try stuff. Anyone know about this? I keep battery's in my "truck file" just in case, but the way I understood it there will be no money given back in the future for dead batteries.

That would be shocking to me. Even Nissan has a 5 year pro-rated warranty on their replacement batteries.

That's what I thought, I did battery warranties for ctc for almost 10 years. That kind of stuff gets stuck in your brain.

Hmm please do. Maybe it's the type of battery that it applies to. Honestly I was in such a rush that day I swaped it out in the parking lot.

Alright. I took the old battery back. The b*tch at the counter said that if there was any warranty left on the battery it would be small, if anything. And apparently you have to buy the new battery at the same time you give them the old f'd one. I explained how swapping a battery in the parking lot in order to claim a warranty was bad form.on their part. She said that was my mistake. I should have had them do the work. So I took the core charge and left all pissy.

I don't understand Canadian tire lately. They just don't seem to give a poop about customers anymore. I have a lifetime warranty radiator I bought there and it leaked. The douche at the counter got all mad because I brought the old one in and asked for an exchange instead of buying a new one, swapping it out and then going in to return the bad one. They were rude about it and they tried to say it was my fault because it was all muddy.
