The misfire was "no spark" on the number 2 cylinder. Either the plug or the coil had failed. I had incorrectly assumed there was valve damage, which was disproven by the compression test.

Traded it for a Volkswagen Golf until the locks get fixed.

The truck got broken into on Thursday night, they stole a few things but I'm mostly pissed they broke my center console. Called the police and filed a report, doubt I'll see my stuff again but theives are dumb and will probably come back to the area. My neighbour wants me to help him setup a webcam to monitor the driveway  .

Temporarilly joined up the clutch lines using a different type of fitting until the rubber lines comes in from RockAuto in the next weekish so I can drive my truck. I also ordered a new rad at the same time. Since my truck has the N/A rad (for whatever reason) and with the trailer, I don't want to find out she'll overheat while towing, so I'm preemptively changing that out, cause it needs to get done. I also need to replace the lower rad support, so do both at the same time. I'm still undecided if I get an official proper Nissan lower rad support @ $250ish, just weld in a piece of tubing for a few bucks, or order a whole front metal section from RockAuto, assumingly made of lower quality steel for $200. This is especially tempting since the vertical section that attaches the hood latch needs some TLC as well and I could replace both.

I also worked significantly on the trailer, modifying the frame to how she was suppose to be done, to fit the fuel tank

Before reinstalling it, I need to pick up some metric bolts to fasten it, as well finishing painting the new metal on the trailer and also finish cleaning up and paint the fuel tank itself.

Frustrating. Honestly the fact that thieves are tolerated by our society is ridiculous. If you don't think they are take a minute to think about how little we do to catch and penalise them.

Rear suspension bushings (PITA), park brake shoes, rear rotors and pads, and a park brake cable on the XC90.

Titan has hairline cracks in the back corners of the roof and the third brake light is leaking despite sealing both. Really disappointed with the cracks in the roof joints.

Diagnosed the SRS (air bag) light on the Titan, Crash Zone Sensor. It appears there's a recall on the Xterra and the Frontier for it. I'm not sure if it would apply to the Titan or not, but from what I've read the problem and components are identical.

Taped up the intake ducting. The rubber joint between the throttle body and 'silencer' cracked <irk>.

Having trouble finding a replacement part online so on went some hockey tape :o The clear stretchy hockey tape that stays stuck until I can find the part. Diagrams only seem to show it as one of 3 parts that are sold together (irk2).

You know, I was just looking at mine on the weekend, and it was starting to look a bit funny, rubber dried out, etc..
I was thinking I should order one just to keep as an "incase" spare.

Order me one too, please! I will pick it up.

I will keep my taped up one as a spare.

Part of the problem is that this piece is under a lot of stress when changing the air filter...probably my fault for not disconnecting it from teh TB)

Last week in the craziness, the Xterra is almost back together. Just need the batteries put back in, finish the air intake and put in some coolant. Here a pic of the new lower rad support and the repaired and refreshed vertical support.

Trailer is coming along well, most almost done most of the major fab is done for the box. The floor may just get a temporary wood floor until I have the time and ability to get a proper sheet metal one done. Fuel tank is in, and the lift system is mostly done.

Ugh...replaced the spark plugs since the mileage on the old ones were unknown. The old ones were iridium gapped at 41 thou. Not bad as they were only a couple thou off spec of 43. Driver side plugs were easy-peasy. Done in half an hour. Looked at the passenger side and started head scratching on where to begin. Service manual helped a lot pull off the upper intake.

Gave myself a pat on the back for not missing a connection after disconnecting everything (or so it seemed). Seriously, how many hose and electrical connections are necessary to remove an intake? My Dad was there warning me to start tagging stuff. Bah! what does he know...lol

While it was off to remove the intake, I cleaned up the throttle body. A few hours later (with lunch) it was back together. Throwing codes and a rough idle. The connection on one coil was not on tight (fixed) and the code is likely due to disconnecting the TB and should clear in a day or so.

Also took the door panel off to try and figure out what is wrong with the driver's window. Still not sure if its the switch, the regulator or the motor.

Yeah, doesn't matter how strong the axle was built-up, when the wheel bearing grease gets replaced with mud/sand/grit, it gets ugly quick...locking hub exploded, bearings disintegrated, inside of the hub got chewed up with all the shrapnel...brake caliper was holding it all together for the most part, and even those mounting bolts/sliders got bent. Other side was not much better, but intact.

Still got the Toyota, but currently wheeling a TJ...

What he said ^.

New set of headers ordered for the truck...Been working on Leslie's car more than my own recently. I do not like Hyundai. Any vehicle where the struts are dangerously worn out at 150k is a POS imo.
