There's always the Apache:

I'm not quite sold on the styling, but I am getting there.

Very interesting... vinyl/plastic shell sides instead of canvas?

Not sure I can dig that style either.... Maybe I should save my pennies for a vintage travel (if I could find one that didn't need a ton of work).

Your wish is my command:

Of course, that's a lot of pennies, but it sure is pretty.

Check out the links I put up on page 1. There were a few you could get for under $2k which would not require a ton of work.

I did look at several of those links, thanks. IIRC those were mostly US listings, right? I hope when I am ready to buy there are some to look at in SW Ontario. If you see one, in the near future, let me know.

I've found two on Kijiji, I have emails into them already, but I'm not 100% ready to buy. We'll see what I get back.

GONE! ( http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicle ... Z102173278" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) sure was pretty though:

I'll add another to make up:

Perfect, but for the water damage apparent in the 3rd pic:

Drove by this one on the weekend. No for sale sign on it, so I didn't stop. It looks nice and shiny on the exterior, and the price means I am going to take a look at it asap.

*edit*

Just got back from looking at it. Decent layout, didn't smell musty. Would need tires, and new mattress for the back, but not bad. Long term, I would have to add a bunk for kid #2, but overall solid. Just need to do a little more looking around before I decide whether or not to pull the trigger.

Cool.

What is your search terms used on kijiji? If i put just trailer I get way too much. It seems some call them campers, travel trailers, camping trailers, vintage trailers etc.

I have emailed 3 kijiji ads asking the trailer weight. Got one resonse saying "sold". :(

The best luck I have had has been clicking RV's/Trailers, leaving the search field blank, and setting the cost between 500 and 3500 (since this is in the ballpark of what I want to pay).

It weeds out all the trailer hitches, used chemical toilets, etc, and caps the price where I want it. It's still a lot of adds (517 in Toronto, 350 in London), but after the adds get to be 2-3 weeks old, they're generally gone anyway, so you rearely have to look beyond page 10.

Seems to be selling time right now as well. I've noticed a lot of trailer ads coming on in the last few days.

This is something that i will be taking a look at . The nice thing with this unit is it is modular and you can add on 10x20' sections if you wish . the usual off road trailer storage areas are built into it . The kitchen is in the tailgate and the fresh water tank can be customised to the size you need . I will be spending a couple of days visiting some makers in the next month or 2.
Cheers.

That modular set up is AWESOME!

I don't think I want to know how much it would cost though!

That's an expensive dog shelter, lol.

Very nice, I like it, not ideal for my family right now, but later on....

That would be a very cool basis for one to custom build their own camper. Your bed is essentially as big as the base trailer you choose to afford. Done right, lots of storage potential. I think I'd store the propane on the tongue though. Very neat.

Now this looks like a deal! 1970 Shasta for $1500 US$.
And in move in condition.
In fact nicely redone.
A bit of a drive, but again they are but easy to bring back across as you can register prior to picking up.

no prob, thanks for trying (I have still have not got any confirmation from that site.

Keep posting the ads as you find them. Local dealers have nothing like this, and there is not much listed locally in private ads.
