Re: New CB to install
I wanted to thank everyone who posted info on this thread. It was all extremely helpful and I learned a ton. The final verdict. A Cobra 19 DX, an antenna mount that turns out to be very much like Rev's and a fiberglass antenna with a spring. I just installed it this evening but ran out of time to tune the antenna. So I'll have to do it tomorrow night along with installing the extra external speaker and PA horn.
I'll have to post some pics soon.

Hey Mookie,
I used a fuse tab for power. I thought it would be a safe enough way of doing it and just as important - a quick and inexpensive way!
Now I just need to find a route for my PA wire to the engine compartment.

Re: New CB to install
glad to hear you got one. The cobra is a nice little radio. See you on friday or or saturday.
When you install the PA, make sure it's pointing down a little so it doesn't fill up with water and dirt etc.

Re: New CB to install
Hey people, thanks again.
I didn't get the cb finished as I was hoping. I've been scrambling like crazy to get last minute things ie; trailer hitch and such. My cb, antenna and speaker are installed I just have to do the PA so no pics as of yet. This work thing is really getting in the way of my fun time!
I am about to create my own profile on "Owners Rigs". I hope you enjoy.
