I'm Back! I see some familiar names from SOXC. I am the owner of 2002 Black Xterra SC. I am not going to mention mileage because you would not believe me. I am still grateful for the assistance that SOXC gave me in 2002 when I bought my truck. Some days I yearn for a new one but there is nothing wrong with mine!

Re: Welcome -- How did you find us??
Gidday Eh!
Here's my story, this new guy starts at work and we start talking cars since I have a few I tinker with and he tells me that he has a 02 Xterra that he cannot sell because he blew the engine, he put off changing the timing belt and well you know what happens next. So I show some interest since I always liked the look of the Xterra, 4 wheel drive and living in the country, well that could be handy in these monsterous snow drifts I get! So I buy this 02 unseen and get it delivered and I cannot believe the conditon it is in, I could only find one spot of rust on the roof, interior in very good condition, brand new tires, what a deal
So searching the web for an Xterra Club I find CNTC and figure these fun loving off roading knowledgable group is what I am looking for and the help/advice I need to get this Xterra back on the road

If you are lucky, the broken timing belt did not cause any bent valves, but that is unlikely. The VG33 is an interference motor, so chances are you have some bent valves to replace.

Re: Welcome -- How did you find us??
Hello to everyone,
I have just purchased a 2006 Xterra Off-Road, so far I love this truck. I am located just outside of Pembroke Ontario (Ottawa Valley). The CNTC came up in google and I have been looking around the wealth of information here and I hope to meet some of you.
