Click on user control panel, then board preferences, then select Carbon theme in "my board style".

Then the site will look kick ass!

There are a couple "themes" or skins you can use on the board, which determine how it looks when you sign in.
If it's all black, with the Xterra header at the top, you are using Carbon.

You can change this under User Control Panel (top left corner) under board preferences.
(The other theme is pretty boring, hence the black one is the default)

BB-thanks, yes this site is amazing. I still haven't cruised all around yet. I might have to get explorenet and ditch this dial up after all.

Tommy, roger dat. I am hoping to get over to see Dad in the next couple or so weeks. I'll let ya know.

Welcome Eric!

Dial up you say? Do me a favour, and let me know how bad the load times are as compared to the old NTC forum. I'd like to get an idea what it's like for those of us with slower connections. To be honest, we didn't take that too much into consideration when building the site, but if it's REALLY slow, we might be able to tweak a few things.

As for the Carbon theme, I like it, but I can't spend a lot of time reading it without my eyes going all wonky on me...

In my defense, I spend a good amount of time on the site, so I find reading white on black can get hard on the eyes...

SOOOO, all that to say that I like the new colours, but my current set-up is the non-carbon one...

Sorry Jay et al, jsut personal preference!

New site looks as wicked as it was promised too, I'm very much NOT dissappointed! :worthy:

Yeah, I had the same problem when I first started using it and tried one of the other styles. I'm back to the default though, I got used to it. I'm looking at possibly coming up with an alternate based on the default but dark grey type on light grey background—similar to the screen you see when you post a topic or reply. I'm still trying to get that working though.
