Re: CB Antenna mounts
This is what I use for my tire carrier. I had to use longer bolts as the tire carrier tubing was quite thick. Got it at a CB radio shop. I think they call it a mirror and or luggage rack mount.

Re: CB Antenna mounts
^^ thats what i got right now as well, the thing is is my tire carriers diameter is greater than the distance between the bolts...

Same here. That's why I used much longer bolts. Would that work for you?262 Chevy wrote:^^ thats what i got right now as well, the thing is is my tire carriers diameter is greater than the distance between the bolts...

Re: CB Antenna mounts
I think he means on the distance bewteen bolts on the one bracket half, not between bracket halves.

Re: CB Antenna mounts
I've done the exhaust clamp in the past, and it's worked well. Then you just need the standard right angle ant mount.

Re: CB Antenna mounts
Oh the words! i'm so confused! Yeah, the spacing doesn't allow it to actually clamp with large diameter tubing within that space. However, just having a tiny bit of that notch, mine still clamps tight enough without moving. I wasn't sure if he had it mounted already, or was trying out the mount for fitting. or am I still confused? Edit: I get it now after looking at mine.Bow_Tied wrote:I think he means on the distance bewteen bolts on the one bracket half, not between bracket halves.
