It's the jeep. That's an old school psc high volume pump from a hydro assist kit. Next up if the rest of the system works will be to mount the ram and get my hydro assist working.

Fnished some dash upgrades, got the old cb replaced, along with the deck, added a USB charging port and moved the winch controls to the dash since there was some free space left.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Nice, you'll like that charging port. It works great on mine.
Picked up the truck today from the shop. $998 tax in for everything. They gave me the wrong alignment sheet though, I was reading it and thought, damn these before numbers were good. Then I saw it was for a honda crv lol. The following was done:
Front wheel bearings
Inner/Outer TRE
Rear brakes serviced (they kept acting up)
Alignment
Rear wheel studs replaced on pass side
I would have done most of this myself but was running out of time. Now it drives well and has a warranty on the work.

Yah the only thing I was torn on was wireing it for constant power or switched. I decided on constant but I may add an on/off button for it. Generally the jeep gets stored with a charger on it anyway.Adam wrote:Nice, you'll like that charging port. It works great on mine.

Driz, you make that panel insert? Looks like it houses everything well.
Installed a CB and SWR'd it today, the firestickIIs with the adjustable tip are nice for tuning. Also removed the mudflaps.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
I partly did. I used the mounting kit that was in there for the aftermarket deck. I took the lid off an old lenovo pc that was going to scrap and cut the shape of the filler frame for the deck kit out of it. Cut and drilled all the openings then glued and pop riveted the steel plate to the frame. If I'd needed more room I could have ditched the deck mounting kit so id have almost a full 2 din of space to work with. But then id have had to permanently mount the plate to the dash center stack. This way I can pull it like a deck and unhook everything. The cb has a mounting bracket I made out of some off cuts from the pc case to bring it up to the height of the opening. It's not quite as solid as I'd like but it'll do.Bow_Tied wrote:Driz, you make that panel insert? Looks like it houses everything well.

Lol nope 4" basically you don't need to step up to even a 5" unless you plan to make over 600HP. Personally I plan to keep it at the stock 300hpBow_Tied wrote:6"? (that's what she said)

Ordered new front shocks for the truck, the new style rancho ones are way too soft.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Yep. But they are the 5000X now, and seem to be trash compared to the old 5000 series. I tried to find some plain old 5000 but they are not sold anymore it appears. Going bilstein this time.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
The OEM Bilstein's on my Jimmys have been fantastic, very reliable and durable. I had 5000s on my old Jimmy they were decent, but I was glad I got a deal to get them as they were not notably different than the OE other than newer.
