Moving to the country

Post by Rev »

Gonna eat a lot of peaches!

I preached for the call to Knox Presbyterian Church in Midland today. It went fantastic. 100% unanimous vote in my favour. So we are moving to Midland! It is a great little town by the water.

That puts us a little closer to wheeling, but a lot farther from coffee meets.

Had to share.

Congratulations, Padre!!! That's awesome. Midland is nice - you'll love it. Much nicer than the Big Smoke. Again, congrats on the new gig.

I'm glad you got to experience Toronto, so that you might never fail to appreciate what you have gained.

Toronto's not all bad, but I'd make the trade.

Congratulations !!

Thanks everyone! We are excited. We are house shopping today since we already sold the loft and have to be out July 29th.
Wish we could afford something on the water but even up here it gets spendy.

Anyway, we should be about 45 minutes closer to Minden now. Is there any wheeling up this way?

PS: if this should be in off topic maybe a mod will move it.

Sweet move for you and your family there Rev. Midland is a very beautiful town. That is my dad's hometown actually and every single year he would take us through Midland while coming home from vacation and show us the house he used to live in! LOL

Also - not sure how (or if) the churches intermingle up there but if you ever happen to run into the Youth & Children's Pastor from Midland Alliance Church (Pastor Chris Lewis), he is a great friend of both Sherri and I. Tell him we say hello! =)

I am certain I will run into Chris. I met some of his parishoners at McDonalds today. They mentioned his name. I'm all about working together so it should be fun.

Update on the house hunt. We found an amazing old place, but it has an offer on it. If the offer falls through we pounce. :D

Good luck on the house - can't you also put in an offer? If you don't get it, another will come along. Whatever you get, make sure it has a backyard big enough for a dozen trail rigs and tents.

Yes, we will put in an offer. But it only works if the original offer falls through since it was signed back.

I did look at one place that had a huge driveway and begged for a dozen rigs to grace its length.

Congrats on the new position. Sounds like you are going to have to start up an off-road ministry up there.
I hope you find a place that is very suitable.

Kids that age have taste buds around their mouths... and in Sammy's case on his forehead too I see. Classic!
