We were in the "Great Outdoors" May 10th and May 24th so far in the Minden/Bob C area.

Had a great time  , except for the bugs. :fist:

It was great in the winter, lots of snow and no bugs.

Or maybe the forum title uses the word"great" to mean vast, or large... It's not the wonderful outdoors, it's the vast, very large expanse of the outdoors to which it refers...

Sometimes I wonder how "great" the outdoors really is...

I mean honestly...

We certainly do a lot to keep the great outdoors OUT, don't we...

We have AC in the summer so we don't feel the Great Outdoors heat. Even in our vehicles...

We have heat in the winter so we don't feel the Great Outdoor cold. Same thing with the vehicles...

We have screens on our windows so that when it's not TOO hot out, we keep the great outdoor bugs out... Never thought about having a screen on my truck windows... I'll have to look into that one!

What the heck is wrong with us?

We live outside and think we need shelter. We live in our shelters and miss the outdoors, we cut holes in our walls because we miss the outdoors, we put drapes or blinds on our windows because we don't want the outside looking in..... where does it end.

yeah i love pulling over to check the river out on my way up to gogama. that stretch of road between chelmsford and onaping lake road is my favorite part from kitchener to gogama. there must be dozens of trails to explore in that area.

There are hundreds on the topo maps, more visible on google earth and even more when you start talking to the locals. northern feller and I need to spend a weekend with the maps and a GPS (maybe soon  ).

I go past there at least once per week on my way to the mines in Levack.
