BFG KM2 or TOYO OC MTs

Post by danxe »

Appreciate that anyone involved in this activity has dedicated much thought to rubber. Both look like a great tire, (Toyos being more expensive/heavier). (I'm good to go on size /spacing from reading this site, NPORA etc.) Thoughts / comments much appeciated.

That's awesome Pete and thanks for the other replies / as I can get 5 x KM2s for the same price as 4 x Toyos, it looks like the new shoes will be the BFGs.

I love my Toyos.

They are noisier than the stock tires, but not too bad (never had MTs before). I rotate them frequently and have not noticed any uneven wear or any chunks taken out of the tread blocks. They did well last year at Shoe Lake and look great even sitting on the driveway.

Buying the cheaper set might be the way to go though. I'm stuck using my old, stock BFG Rugged Trail as my spare, but I had been in love/lust with the Toyos since getting into off-roading, so I had to go that way.

You're kiling me here as when I saw them in the shop and mounted/your pics and others, I had that wtf moment / they look great and have received similiar reviews. Thanks.
