From what I hear, it's an excellent little tool. There are a few folks on NPORA running them, and all have had good things to say.

I have one. It works great and you can get the code listing online for any of the computer codes it spits out.

I have one.
Works just as advertised.
I have read and cleared codes with it, etc ...
Still use it every day in my Altima.

Re: scan guage II
I have the original one that is about the size of a toaster-oven. It's very helpful and somewhat comforting to see that everything is doing what it's supposed to - or helping to see what the offending codes may be.
I think I might change to the newer one at some point as this older model is missing a few features that the new one has. Got to keep up with the gadgets!

TPS, yes
Fuel flow yes
Open/Closed loop
Nissan does not report MAF
O2 not directly

Cool! Now let's see if you can make it spit out readings like this guy.
Watch it! I'm keeping my eye on you.

Re: scan guage II
I fished the wiring in behind the dash, and over the stereo. I popped the cover of those round holes and fed the cable through (perfect fit). I secured the Scangauge to the dash with 3M tape.
So far so good. I'm loving the L/100km function (how low can I go!)

Re: scan guage II
Loving the new toy so far, I've been running it in my Honda mainly because of work. But tonight my wife came home with the frontier and the service engine light on.... plugged the scan guage into the truck, pulled off 2 codes, knock sensor and evap. Did a little research went back out and realized that a friend who borrowed the truck (and acually put gas back in) forgot to put the cap back on. The scan guage cleared the codes no issue.... beats bringing it to the dealer to have the codes cleared!!

Re: scan guage II
UPDATE:
I love my Scangauge so far. I used to average 400 km +/- a tank, but this last fill up, I got 520 km!! I keep my eye on the L/100km and try to maintain it as low as possible.
Lessons Learned:
- If you drive with the window down, put the one behind it down as well for better airflow. I was on cruise control with the passenger window down and noted the fuel consumption rate. I cracked the rear passenger window down, and the fuel consumption rate went down by about 2 L/100km. That's not a lot, about 8-10 km/tank, but it's something.
- Driving behind a semi saves A LOT a fuel. Drafting made my fuel rate go way down, but only when you're up their a$$, not recommended - lol
If you're on the fence about getting one, I recommend hoping off it, and picking it up. It'll eventually pay for itself.

Re: scan guage II
I recently was experiencing some problems with my Scangauge. The backlight would flicker between different colour - which became quite distracting at night.
I emailed the dealer in Ottawa about the problem Tuesday night. By Wednesday it was in the mail, and I got it in today's mail!
I have re-installed the new Scangauge (cable now fed through new spot) and all is good.
That's what I call customer service

Re: scan guage II
Yeah Tom @ Gifford is good.
After this post started I remembered that there was an upgrade for the Original ScanguageII (the one that I have)
It did not come with the 'x' guage features etc ...
So I emailed Tom for info,
it took 8 days including time spent in the care of Canada Post and i picked up a second cable for mine as well.
That way i can use it in both cars.
Mounting, in the Altima it is inside the storage cubby that is in the center of the dash above the radio. I'll attach a pic later
All the wiring for the gague and my XM is hidden inside the dash this way, and everything is away from the prying eyes of theves.
In the MX-5 when i use it there, we just sit it in the little 'coin tray' (as Mazda calles it)that is just under the heater controls.
