Another new guy
Hey all. Joined the forum a while back but didn't get a chance to introduce myself. I'm in nova scotia and recently sold my 2000 frontier and bought a 2011. Love the new truck, but have to say it feels much less rugged than my old girl.
I'm not much into '4 wheeling' but my trucks are always used as trucks and spend a significant amount of time in the woods, and hauling stuff. So far the new girl has held up well aside from the crazy tendency to get rock chips on the rear 'fender flares' just in front of the wheel wells. I might have to get that area line-x'ed before too long if the chipping continues at the current rate. It also seems to be VERY thirsty...much more so than the old truck. Anyhow, enough rambling...

Welcome to CNTC. I'm sure the thirst will settle after a while. Once broken in, the 4.0L should get slightly better mileage than your old 2000, unless your old one was a 4cyl.

From one truck user to another, welcome aboard. I love seeing trucks that get used the way they're supposed to.
If you're missing your 2000, I'll set you up with an '03 and get that shiny new one out of your way forever. I can't say you'll like the mileage any better in mine though I'll even deliver

Re: Another new guy
Thanks for the welcome. I do miss my 2000, it was an amazingly capable truck and would go anywhere. I was just starting to lose some confidence in it and was worried it may let me down back in the woods. Thanks for the offer but I think I'll give this new one am few more months before I pass too much judgment
