lower rad support
Just checked the truck and noticed the rad was sagging. I the looked below and found the bottom support is rusted and cracked on either end. Has anyone ever experienced or have a fix to put a new support in?
Thanks in advance!

If you go with a new support, you need to cut the old one out, and weld the new one in, the part is available from Nissan.
If you're getting a bodyshop to do it, they may just weld some steel together.

Re: lower rad support
Thanks for the input! Do you think I can bolt it on myself and avoid having to get someone to weld it?

That's a hard question for anyone to answer as we don't know your skill level.ptbo_hunter wrote:Thanks for the input! Do you think I can bolt it on myself and avoid having to get someone to weld it?

Re: lower rad support
Plus, it's not a bolt on part iirc, it's spot welded in place.

Re: lower rad support
Yes you have to remove the whole front end, grind out the old rad support, and weld in a new one. That's the short form of it. Removing and draining your rad , totally removing all front bumper stuff and supports. wiring and and all else in the way is big job. If I were to do it with the crew I know it is more than possible in a weekend but its a big job none the less.Morpheus wrote:Plus, it's not a bolt on part iirc, it's spot welded in place.
