Line out converter
Has anyone wired in a line out converter to the factory 6 disc, with factory amp. I want to be able to run signal from the rear outputs, converted to an RCA signal. I have looked at the online service manual, and have found that pins 13-16 are the rear outputs. Can anyone varify this.
Thanks for the help,
Tom

Re: Line out converter
I assume you want to run this to hook up an amp and subwoofer? If so, why not just use a speaker level input converter which outputs to RCA's? They're about $20 at most audio stores, and would be the easiest way to get the signal to your amp with the stock system. You can "T" off the rear speaker wires.

I see. That I don't know. If the FSM says it's those pins, I'm sure it is.

(hmm, pics can't be larger than 800px wide, but i dont want to resize it so it's readable)
As far as I know, the outputs on the back of the factory deck that lead to the amp are already line-level outputs, just take the signal from there instead of after the amp where the speakers are connected.
I've done the opposite, I have my sub-out on my Pioneer deck feeding the stock amp driving the factory sub on mine, I don't see why the other way around won't work either.
