outer tie rods
Hi
Don't do a lot of my own work due to all problems I encounter. Need help getting the outer tie rods off. Bolts are loose but the outer tie will not move.

^ This. Or PartSource/Princess Auto may have a separation fork you can use (hit with a hammer).

Yeah - you have to whack those melon farmers. I have used a fork (tie-rod fork - you can get them at Crappy Tire). Jam the fork under the the tie rod where it meets the UCA and beat the living poop out of it.
You'll get it.

Re: outer tie rods
I have the forks , banged at it for half an hour and gave up. I need a bigger fuking hammer.
Then if the thing does pop I am assuming the outer tie rod is also seized on the inner rod. It is just a fuucked up mess.

Leave the nut on, but loose on the ball joint when using the separator.

Best tool for the job is BFH, if TRE is seized on adjuster you may need two of them - one SFH and one BFH
