Hello everyone. Just bough an Xterra :)

Post by ECosta »

Well hello.

My name is Emanuel and im a happy owner of a 2003 Xterra, im gonna pick it up tomorrow at the dealer so I don't even have it :shy:

but im as excited as a kid on Christmas eve.

after looking for a real long time for a 4x4 I decided on the Xterra. its not the supercharged    but I drove it and it still seems quite strong. so lets see.

I was always kind of a Nissan guy, well actually more of a Datsun guy, but 1st xterra.

and I think that's all for now. :)

Welcome.

I wouldn't fret over the supercharger, I think it's debatable if it's better with or without.

You had the option of an Orange X? SC? And turned it down? Oh man. I love the Orange 2002s/2003s. Solar Yellow is better. But those Orange ones rock.

Keep her tuned. Check your O2s. Fix the knock sensor. And enjoy the mileage.

I'm not sure about newer yotas but 3rd gen has the same bolt pattern 6x5.5", centre bore on yota is bigger than Nissan so it fits Nissan but Nissan stock rim won't fit on yota. If it's aftermarket rim it fits both. Don't know what the BS is on yota, stock Nissan is 5,75" I believe, most aftermarket ones we run are 4,75" to 3,75" (less means more rubbing issues) all depends on tire size and if you planning on SL and/or BL in future ;)

And :welcome:

You'll save money without the supercharger... There is a BIT more power, but the hassles that come with the boosted motor aren't worth it.

I've had one since 2005, and although I love it, I've paid hand over fist for having it.

I think Lucas said the NA motor is more responsive, more immediate, at low speed.

Thanks a lot guys ;)

Well in that case im good with no supercharger then.

About the rims, i think they were in a old 4runner.

Its just a good deal i saw, rims with 31/10.5/15

Will 31 fit on a stock xterra?

Oh by the way, the point of the nissan is to do some light offroad once and a while ;)

I work in Newmarket and a buddy of mine lives in Bradford.

Let me know if you're planning to be in Newmarket or Uxbridge (or there abouts) and we'll try to get together (at a Tim's of course :)

Ya that would be cool! Need to learn a few things about the xterra. But i picked it yesterday and i like it a lot! Too bad it doesnt have all the goodied i had on my previous car like heated seats and heated steering wheel for ex but... Oh well :)

I just need bigger tires for now. Stock ones dont look good at all. Will 31/10.5/15 fit? Or do i have to do a bodylift or something?
