Spyside Road Allowance
Hello everyone was just wondering if any of the Milton or Toronto club members had tried out this road allowance / trail it is listed on the "Every Trail " web site which I use to discover new mountain bike trails as a 4x4 / atv trail. I had to pick my daughter up in Milton today as she had a swim meet and decided to take a drive up and at least look at this trail. It was pretty muddy and with only all terrains on the truck and no winch I decided not to chance it going alone. The trail is only listed as being 1.7 miles long but has deep water and mud as well as minor rock climbs in the southern trail.

Not sure if you will be able to see this or not unless you are a member of Every Trail, it has trails for all different types of uses throughout North America

Re: Spyside Road Allowance
We're there any signs posted at the entrance/end of it? 17th sdrd that crosses it is off limits AFAIK.

I have been on it, last time I checked west and south entrances are blocked. East entrance not passible unless your running 40's. The only way I got in was from the north entrance. It is a small trail nothing challenging about it.

Re: Spyside Road Allowance
Iirc, that is part of the Milton 17th side road trail.
From the of4wd trail index:
It's best to stay away from this area, IMO.
From the of4wd trail index:
A debated area for years the 17th side road has been plagued by miss use with illegal dumping and non respectful motorized users. Police frequent the area keeping motorized traffic out. In 2013 the OF4WD executive was still trying to get some answers on the area to whether it is an un-assumed road or part of the Bruce trail conservation authority. The Bruce conservation is stating they own it at this time.
It's best to stay away from this area, IMO.

Re: Spyside Road Allowance
If a cop catches you they give you a fine. OF4WD doesn't want you in there! Mostly young kids in their daddy's pick up trucks "trying" to get in and out of there with usually no luck. I've seen dozens of swamped out vehicles being towed out of there and cops surrounding. Farmers are pissed in the area and sick of punk ass rich kids asking for a tow out - this ends in the farmers (and most locals driving by) calling the police. Its a 4 way trail. With access on 15sdrd blocked and 17sdrd. Accessible at 4th Line and 17sdrd SIGN posted. ROAD CLOSED. And other entrance at 3rd line off 22sdrd. With some nasty guard dogs at the last property before the trail. DONT STOP. If its a risk you're willing to take all I can say is have fun, good luck and cover your club sticker (if you have one on your vehicle).
