Neat Trick To Show Your Friends

Found something new over a CT last night. I'm not sure if it is a Nissan thing, a latest generation Nissan thing or a Titan/Armada thing.
  • Turn key to ON position
  • Push drivers side door switch 10 times
  • Turn key to OFF and immediately back to ON
  • Horn will sound
  • Move to front of vehicle


We have confirmed that it doesn't work on feller's 2002 X-Terra, please give it a shot and let us know if it works on your ride.
Cummins - Zone, BD, AFE, Yokohama, Bestop, Access, VisonX, H&S

That's up there with the old trick of "one-eyeing" on-coming Xterras: on first gens, if you flick the hi-beam switch just a wee bit, only one light will go to hi-beam.

You know for the life of me I have never been able to do that? I've sat in my driveway for 15 minutes trying to get just one of the lights to come on, and I just can't do it...

Must be something wrong with me... :cry:

I believe that process activates the BCM self diagnotics where it just runs through a series of self tests. We can do the same thing with our consult computer, the above way is just a way to do it without a nissan computer.

I thought it was on anything that had a customizable bcm.. from about 2000/1 and up, but I've never had the need to try it so... I'm not sure.

We just did this on my Titan and it works!
