Knock sensor code
Hopefully someone can explain this for me. I have a 2003 frontier with a scanguage hooked up to the truck. The scanguage also has the ability to check for any codes. There was no check engine light on the truck but while I was playing with the scanguage and I found a P0328 knock sensor code. I found it very strange that I had a code but no check engine light? Is that right? Also if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to trouble shoot the code?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Knock sensor code
Yes that's right, and it's a VERY common issue on the Xterra and Frontier with the VG33 engine.
We've discussed putting together a mod day in the near future to help everyone relocate their knock sensor to a more reachable spot on the intake manifold, as currently it's below it.
That said, you'll still have to change the sensor to clear the code.
