Hello
Hi,
I thought since I signed up I might as well introduce myself. I am from Brantford ON, about 30 min west of Hamilton. My name is Tibor (just like the guy who saved Homer's butt a bunch of times, you'll know if you are a Simpsons fan). I have a '96 R50 chassis and the rest of the stable include another hamburger, an '02 Maxima and a '96 Avalon.
I enjoy fabricating especially laying a bead of nickles in a row. I managed to get out on a couple of trails with my Pathy, even met up a couple of people from this board a few weeks ago for a trail run and we had a very good time. I hope to get out on some different trails with some people again.

Re: Hello
Me, Nismojunky and 95 PATH headed out on an impromptu run in the muck a couple weekends ago, so I invited Tibor out for the hell of it. Figured he'd enjoy it and an extra guy to aid with extraction might have been nice as well. We headed out to an area in Brantford that is all chewed up by guys with full-sizes running 40's, and it just rained so an extra guy didn't hurt, and as always, the more the merrier...
I think while he was out that weekend he got bitten by that off-road bug...there is now talk of lifts, greater articulation, lockers, purpose built off-road machines and so on...

I think the off-road bug has bitten a long time ago but that weekend was more like a swarm of bugs. As far as lift my r50 chassis was almost riding on bumpstops when you saw me towing my little camping trailer. I thought the springs could use a bit of a help by replacing the OE springs with longer ones and hoprfully get some nice articulation. I think the purpose built offroad machine (samurai or sidekick with unimog axles) was your idea after Minden , all I said that I could build a pretty nice trailer for you that was designed is SolidWorks and had Finite Element Analysis done to optimize the design (lightest yet strong enough) since our trucks are rated only for 3500 lbs.
