i need to take my factory stereo out of the 00 X i do not want to brake the plastic so does it pop off or screw off??

Don't know about the 2000, but the 2003 model has two #2 phillips screws just above the head unit, under a lip. Duck down beside the shifter and look up. That trim piece has a couple screws at the bottom, right below the ash tray. Once the yare out pull the trim piece gently not to break the clips behind. It will come out. Dissconnect the cigarette lighter to get the trim piece out of the way. When thats out you will take out the four screws that hold the stereo and the little compartment.
I asked for a Jelly donut not a maple!!!

hey john your right it was sarge, anyways all done and the site helped me with the wiring and now all i have to do is get the storage space to take up the big hole. i wonder how much they are at nissan? it was kinda funny since the last time i did a stereo was way too long now i have too check out the tweeter on the driver side door, then i will be set.
