I got some parts fo my path that i want to colour match and wondering where i can find the paint code on the truck so i can get some paint mixed. I know somewhere in the vin it tells you but not sure what digit it is. Any help would be a great help thanks.

Re: Paint code and colour
The paint code is on the plate on the passenger side inner fender with the axle code and vin.

Re: Paint code and colour
Actually the paint code is not in the VIN.
Year, Make and Model, production serial etc ... but not the paint colour.
As Mike mentions a dealer can cross reference the VIN in thier system and look it up.
The Paint code on most nissans is either on the tin identification plate under the hood, or on the decal inside the drivers door. Both this plate and the sticker have the same information on them, and the paint code will be clearly labled.
note: the plate will be in only one location, not both.

The 10th digit carries on to '9' for 2009 model years then begins again at 'A' for 2010, 'B' 20011, etc ...

Re: Paint code and colour
Even if you get the paint code for your truck, I'd suggest taking the whole truck to the paint shop to get the color matched. It is more than likely that the paint of your truck has faded a bit with time and if you go only with the paint code, the color of your new parts won't match the color of the truck. I've seen this happend even on one year old trucks, so the older the truck is, the more off the color is likely to be.
To lift, or not to lift? What a stupid question...

Re: Paint code and colour
thanks for all the help ill look for that plate see if i can find it. As for the colour matchin im not to worried about that the truck was just resprayed before i bought it a year ago and chances are most people won't even noticed these parts are painted let alone match the truck
