NOOB from Montreal
Hi there!
I'm a newbie from Montreal! Former Nissan Spec V 02 and Nissan Maxima 02 owner, switched to Xterra in december 06. I really enjoy my truck with all the snow we got here in Quebec... even with the gas price
I was also an active member of Nissan Performance Club (npclub.com) but since I drive an Xterra, the performance went away so.. I kinda left the board
Nice to meet you all guys!

Hey there!
I used to own an 02' Spec V as well. Loved that car, I still miss it to this day, but it was just too small for my growing family!

Re: NOOB from Montreal
Well, that was another reason why I sold the car, but I had it in for pre-cat replacement before I started having any issues with it.
I never had any oil burning problems either, but I think that was because I had the cat changed out before it became a problem.
Great little car, but trying to put hockey sticks in there was a joke. NO problems with that in the X!

What is the East Chapter exactly? A sub-division of CNTC?

Re: NOOB from Montreal
Hehehe, when the club was first started way back when, it was called the Southern Ontario Xterra Club, or SOXC for short.
The majority of the club members were from the Toronto and surrounding area, but there were still a few of us from outside the GTA, like myself and Sgt_B and a few others in Ottawa.
The next step in the evolutionary scale of this little entity, was the NTC, Nissan Truck Club. Membership expanded a little bit, as the club was not specific to any region at this point.
Now the club is as you see it, the CNTC.
The few of us from Ottawa and the surrounding area started calling ourselves the "Eastern Chapter", but that's just kind of a knick name, not really anything significant.
Basically when we refer to the Eastern Chapter, it's referring to those of us East of Toronto, who live too far away to go for Coffee with the rest of the gang...

Re: NOOB from Montreal
Jayman, well put, you explained the whole history of the club in one post or less. Xander, I guess that would actually make you the "east of the eastern chapter"... geez I kill me.
